About us

For over 20 years, we have been producing a great variety of wines, alcools and agrifood products with our wild blueberries, raspberries, blackcurrants and grapes.

historical

It is in 1977 that we purchased the domain. Clearing, draining and ploughing were part of the work to be performed. This great space invited us to the choice of a culture, and after a family discussion, we stopped our choice on the culture of a small luxury fruit, the raspberry. Three years later, the raspberry farm Le Cageot was born.

  • In 2000, we decided that we were ready for a new challenge and we reinvigorated our passion by implanting a small artisanal vineyard which would add a value to our cultures.
  • In 2002, we proceeded with the implementation of the first regional center of artisanal production of alcoholic beverages made from berries producing four alcoholic beverages: wine, two aperitifs, and liquor (digestive and spirits). In this period, we also added 11 food processed products: wine vinaigrettes, jams, jellies, syrups, honey, lees, etc..
  • In 2010, faithful to our desire to always innovate, we concretized two projects on which we worked for many years. We launched the very first blueberry sparkling wine in Quebec and even in the world! Then, after a decade of creating our own red grape variety, the Saint-André, we planted 8000 vine plants making us the first Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean vineyard recognized by the RACJ (Régie des Alcools du Québec).
  • In 2012, we invested more than $ 300 000 in order to improve our hosting installations: guest room, stand, wine storehouse, etc.
  • In 2013 we started to sell our first cuvees: Père et fils red and Père et Fils white.
  • In 2018, a business transfer between father and son began and new shareholders were added to the team, to make room for a large-scale growth project.
  • That’s over $3 million in investment for 2019.
